Eva Burns (b. 1772 – d. 1853)

Eva Burns is my 6th great-grandmother. She was born 1772 in Augusta County, Virginia.

She married John Miller (b. 1771 – d. 1841), a union that is recorded in the First Marriage Record of Augusta County, Virginia:

Eva’s first child was son James Burns. More quickly followed: Sarah Belle Miller in 1796; John Miller, Jr. who was born & died in 1799; Thomas Jefferson Miller in 1802; Mary Polly Miller in 1805.

The family is listed on the 1810 Federal Census in Augusta County, Virginia:

The 1820 Census shows the family in Staunton, Augusta County, Virginia:

Eva was age 52 when she gave birth to youngest daughter, Martha A Miller (b. 1824).

The family is listed again on the 1830 Federal Census, North District, Augusta County, Virginia:

Again on the 1840 Census for Augusta County:

Eva was 69 years old when her husband passed away. She lived for many more years, until the age 81, when she died on May 10, 1853 in Braxton County, Virginia (now Webster County, West Virginia).
