On the 1910 Census, Florence is listed as being able to read and write. Her family is residing in Forest Hill, Summers Co, WV:

In 1919, a 22 year-old Florence married Jesse Franklin Webb. In 1921, she gave birth to son Roy C. Webb; 1924, son James F. Webb; 1927, son Herman T. Webb.

The 1930 Census lists Florence as a homemaker:

In 1931, Florence welcomed son Donald Webb; 1932, son Jack William Webb, Sr.; 1936, son Melvin Webb; and 1939, my grandfather, Leonard Alvin Webb.

On the 1940 Census, Florence’s highest level of education is listed as “Elementary School, 4th grade”:

On Aug 27, 1941, Florence’s dad – John Henry Martin (b. 1856) – died in Summers Co, WV. Then in 1945, son Herman T. Webb passed away. On February 22, 1952, Florence lost her mom – Rosa Anna Elizabeth Marin (b. 1861). Then on March 2, 1960, husband Jesse Franklin Webb died.

Florence died June 11, 1966 in Hinton, Summers Co, WV and is buried at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery, Forest Hill, Summers Co, WV.
